The first of the Ladies of the Manor monthly Friday-nighters kicks off on August 29th at one of the best boozers in ~~north~~ all of London, the Boogaloo. The “bastard son of Filthy McNasty’s” is leafy-n-posh Highgate’s own little corner of edginess, and is no stranger to the secret gig or two. In other words, an obvious choice for a LotM DJ set.

We’ll be spinning our usual mix of Stuff To Make You Dance - great tunes that are a little off the beaten path, but nothing too chin-stroky (Friday nights are for stimulation, not education). It’s free entry and we’ll also be giving away free stuff - this time we’ll be raffling off some threads from the Religion label, as well as handing out copies of award-wining arts mag (and RoG collaborators) The Illustrated Ape’s Photographers of the Urban Apocalypse issue, featuring original work from David Sims.

In the coming months, we’ll also bring along some (in)famous guest DJs, as well as other musical surprises.

The Boogaloo is at 312 Archway Road, 2 mins walk from Highgate tube / 134, 43, 263 buses. We’ll be there on the decks from 9ish, but the pub opens at 6pm and has the finest jukebox selection around, plus a lovely courtyard for the nic-fits. It’s free to get in, and it gets ultra-rammed, so get there early if you want a table (though we doubt you’ll remain on your duff for long once we fire up those decks!).
